This was a bike I had not seen for a while and this is because, I service it. There is very little goes wrong with this bike and the only thing I needed to fix was the scratched up magneto cover emblem which took a bit of a hit from road debris. Not an issue as I know Webike do stock or can order older bike parts including the emblems needed. This was fairly easy to find as there are a lot of pages on Suzuki with tips of how to find the right parts. Plus, you can always find a schematic for the model if you are lucky. Upon finding the right emblem, searching Webike was easy and finding the right one was great. The price was awesome value for money for a part for such an old bike. Along with a few other parts I needed, I had them all shipped together via EMS and my order was delivered in 5 days from being shipped. The emblem came very well packaged and was also packaged with some smaller items in the order. The emblem was kept nice and flat as distortion would be a truly bad situation. The emblem itself is stunning and a top piece of Japanese quality. The lettering is crisp and clean and no flaws at all. It has a really strong adhesive on the reverse which you really need to take care with when applying. As a rule, if I am adding any emblems, I gently warm them up with a heat gun on low, just to get the adhesive nice and sticky. Fitting was time consuming as I needed to make sure the emblem was perfectly straight as it would odd if not. Once on, the emblem looks very smart and makes the bike that little bit better again. A customer came in with this old beauty that needed a bit of a service. The oil filter needed changing out as it had been sat in a shed for a number of years. Strangely, the bike still ran which was a shock. Anyway, with a few other parts for this project, all my order was shipped via EMS and arrived in great condition in 5 days. The stock Suzuki oil filters are always going to be the first option if theyr are available and this was the case much to my surprise. So, solid choice usng a OEM Suzuki. These filters have a great life span and are pretty cheap. Yes, you can get more expensive ones, but for a bike this old and how often it would be ridden would be a waste. I have used stock Suzuki as this was teh best option in my opinion. OEM have never let me down. The quality is awesome, the threads are always spot on and no bad incidents fitting. No problems at all with them. The old filter was a little tricky to remove due to age so needed a little persuasion. After it came off the new filter was a breeze to fit. The boot piston for the GS750 1981 caliper was severely deteriorated and therefore needed quick replacement. This is an old bike and obviously, with this age, many of the rubberised parts have just gone bad. I was very surprised that I could still source these from Webike but they are an excellent company to deal with. Finding the part was a little tricky due to the age of the nike, but finally managed to track the correct one down. I purchased 2 to complete this part of the restoration. The cost was really good value. Added to some other parts I had in this order, all were shipped with EMS and arrived in tip top condition in 5 days. All were well packed and no damage was sustained during transit. The rubber boots are a really good quality and consistant with what I would expect with this kind of seal. Flexible but very solid. My 1981 Suzuki GSX1100S Katana stock suspension is long gone. This OHLINS suspension fit well. Quality the usual Ohlins standard. Comes with Japanese and English brochure and instructions. There is only 3 clicks for Compression. Factory brochure recommends 2 clicks for compression and 12 clicks for Rebound. I weigh 85kg. Have not figure out what is the best adjustment yet but first impression ride is firm and with better stability especially when going around a bumpy corner. More predictable control and more forgiving to my lower back. Might need to adjust the height higher. I got the one with black spring for the classic look rather than Yellow springs. View Detail
