My 1981 Suzuki GSX1100S Katana stock suspension is long gone. This OHLINS suspension fit well. Quality the usual Ohlins standard. Comes with Japanese and English brochure and instructions. There is only 3 clicks for Compression. Factory brochure recommends 2 clicks for compression and 12 clicks for Rebound. I weigh 85kg. Have not figure out what is the best adjustment yet but first impression ride is firm and with better stability especially when going around a bumpy corner. More predictable control and more forgiving to my lower back. Might need to adjust the height higher. I got the one with black spring for the classic look rather than Yellow springs.
When I changed the suspension of GSX1100S to 18-inches, I also changed the R suspension. I was worried about the suspension of other companies, but I chose OHLINS because of the design! 。 I use it mainly for touring, but I feel like I can turn the line I aim at comfortably. 。 I think it's more than worth the price.View Detail
I use it for KATANA which I own jointly with my brother. If it were possible, I would have preferred a more refreshing look without the reserver tank, but my brother chose it after testing it on Circuit, so I just went with it. My brother's setting is great, so I feel that the OHLINSShock is a strange suspension that is soft touch but sticks at the back.View Detail

Honestly was expecting more from it, took it to a suspension shop to tune to my spec, is it worth 1400 Aud, approximately 300 Aud FeDex and about 300 Aud custom clearance? Maybe. Looks nice, I had a couple of good Ohlins shocks on my track bikes which offered more adjustment and when acceleration it is night and day difference, but the category of this bike is still a more naked/sport touring bike, maybe my mindset is wrong, rode about 200kms now, I have done: heavy, sharp, smooth acceleration, top speed, low speed, stoppies, some twisties, did not meet my performance level exception, but again, maybe Ohlins intentionally wants more comfort rather than performance? Great looking tho, texture and everything up to Ohlins standard, this is just a short term review, who knows, maybe the setting for currently is all wrong, might have to tune it again. Will write a long term experience later but currently that's how I feel.View Detail

This was a upgrade from a GO Race tuned rear shock. Granted the go race most likely needed to be serviced, but this was big improvment. I can't say it's worth the money unless you just want to spend some money...but nice if you do. View Detail
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the rear shock absorber from Ohins, only the best materials used and surface finishes obtained as you would expect for the price. Almost exclusively made from aluminium to keep the weight down and anodised for durability. About the feeling of use: The look of this rear shock absorber fitted to the Grom is sensational and the feel from the rear end while riding is like a completely different motorcycle now, with the ability to adjust pre-load, rebound and compression the adjustments are endless. Products to buy together: The Ohlins fork insert kit would also be desirable to purchase along side their rear shock absorber but sadly is not currently available here on Webike so would need to be purchased elsewhere. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about an hour, only 2 bolts holding it in place, I removed the rear hugger, seat and rear plastics then supported the rear of the motorcyce with an A frame and strap. A little difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: An extremely expensive option for a rear shock absorber for the Grom but if you have the money to spare you will not be disappointed. Any aftermarket rear shock absorber will be better then the Honda one and the options available from YSS should be looked at if your budget is limited. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght is my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost and it is fantastic that it has returned as an option once again so I can put my money toward parts and not high shipping costs. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. The Ducati MH900e stock mirrors are totally useless. I m very happy with this mirrors. Now i can check the traffic behind for safety. Its not 100% clear view cause you are still block 30% partially by your arm. But its good enough to check blind spots. In order to see a complete rear view you need a longer stem but that will affect the looks. So i think this length is the best compromise. Highly recommended.View Detail
