I was utterly surprised by the quality of this seat. Firstly the seat comes fully fitted on a moulded plastic base that is a copy of the OEM.The seat covering is synthetic, like the oem cover & is fully stitched- something to consider if using this seat in wet conditions, there could be a risk of water penetrating into the seat foam through the stitch holes.It does lower the ride height. I'm 181cm & found the seat to be a little low for me with stock preload suspension settings. As a result I've gone back to the OEM seat for now until I get the suspension professionally adjusted..then I will try the seat again & see if the situation is improved. In general, the seat is quite comfortable despite having some foam removed for the 'tuck& roll" shaping. That said I used the seat daily for a month and noticed absolutely no wear or degradation of the seat during this time.I would thoroughly reccomend this seat to anyone who finds the stock seat too tall.
